Runn is Dalarna's second largest lake after Siljan, filling the landscape between Falun and Borlänge, dotted with islands and with the Runns norra öar nature reserve in the north. Pike and perch dominate the fishing, with bream and roach over the shallower bottoms and burbot in the deep holes. In winter the lake is famous among ice skaters, with Runn Winter Week held on the ice each February.
