About the fishing here
Ivösjön is Skåne's largest lake, with deep water around the island of Ivö and shallower bays in toward shore. The fishing is widely known among anglers, with zander the biggest draw, and the rare wels catfish has even been caught in its outflow, the Skräbeån. The lake sits in a Natura 2000 area protecting the birdlife, so tread gently in the reedy bays.
The usual catches here are Zander, Common Bream, Tench, Northern Pike, European Perch and Burbot.
Zander is generally most active around Jun-Aug. The best windows are usually dawn, dusk and night.
A fishing permit (fiskekort) is required here. Napp ranks the species above from the live weather, water temperature, season and time of day, so the order changes through the day.
