About the fishing here

Cranberry Lake is one of the larger lakes fully inside New York's Adirondack Park, a wilderness-feeling body of water ringed by state forest with only a small hamlet on its shore. It fishes well for bass and northern pike among its many bays and islands, and the surrounding preserve keeps development to a minimum. Much of the shoreline is undeveloped public land, so check where camping and access are permitted before you plan a trip.

Popular catches here include Walleye, Striped Bass, Northern Pike, Rainbow Trout, Muskellunge and Lake Trout.

For Walleye, the fishing tends to peak around Apr-May, Oct-Nov. The best windows are usually dawn and dusk.

A state fishing license is required to fish here. Napp ranks the species above from the live weather, water temperature, season and time of day, so the order changes through the day.
