About the fishing here
Geneva Lake is a deep, unusually clear lake in southeastern Wisconsin that has drawn Chicago-area summer visitors since the 1800s, ringed today by lakeside estates and a public shore path. The clarity and depth support a mixed warmwater fishery, and local anglers fish it for bass and other gamefish depending on the season. It's a busy recreational lake in summer, so early morning and evening tend to fish quieter than midday.
The usual catches here are White Bass, Bluegill, Muskellunge, Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass and Northern Pike.
For White Bass, the fishing tends to peak around Apr-May. The best windows are usually dawn, day and dusk.
A state fishing license is required to fish here. Napp ranks the species above from the live weather, water temperature, season and time of day, so the order changes through the day.
