Privacy and sources
Advertising
Ads on napp are served by our advertising partner Mediavine and appear only in blog articles, never on the home page, spot pages or species pages. To show and measure ads, Mediavine and its advertising partners may store and read cookies and similar identifiers on your device, and process data such as your IP address, approximate location, device and browser type, and the pages you view. Some partners use this for personalised advertising and measurement. If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK you are asked for consent before any non-essential cookie or identifier is used, and you can change or withdraw that consent at any time from the privacy prompt on an article page. In US states with an opt-out right, the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” choice is in the same prompt. Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how napp is used: page views, referrers, approximate location and device type. Google sets cookies for this. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we never sell the data.
Your data
Napp has no accounts and stores nothing about you on the server. If you tap "My location", your position is used only in your browser to sort nearby spots; it is never sent to us or saved. Two cookies remember your language and theme choices. For aggregate visitor stats we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and collects no personal data (just page views, referrers and rough country).

- Live weather: MET Norway, the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (CC BY 4.0). Water temperature is an estimate.
- Place descriptions: Wikipedia (CC BY-SA).
- Fish & lure photos: Wikimedia Commons (various free licences; see each image's source page).
- Maps: Google Maps links.
