About Wallago Catfish

A large, wide-mouthed predatory catfish of South and Southeast Asian rivers, lakes and reservoirs, hunting fish in deep, slow pools and around submerged structure. It takes live and dead fish baits and big lures, with the best action at night and in low light near drop-offs. It has a huge gape and sharp teeth, so fish a strong leader and set the hook on the run.

Typical size: Typically 3 to 15 kg; trophy fish over 25 kg. Record (approx.): approx. 30 kg (varies by region).
