A slender, schooling silverside introduced and thriving in Lake Titicaca and other high-altitude Andean lakes, preying on smaller fish and zooplankton. It takes small spoons, spinners and live or cut bait, often best in cooler conditions and around dawn and dusk. Light spinning gear is ideal, and shoals can be located near drop-offs and weed edges in clear water.
