About Roach

One of Sweden's most abundant fish. Shoals up and feeds on most things near the bottom. It sits close to jetties, reed edges and slow margins, which makes it the easiest fish to start a child on. Bread, maggots and a small float rig are enough, and a little groundbait holds the shoal in place. Roach is also the food that keeps pike, perch and zander in the same water.
