A prized inshore and estuary target along the Indian coast, the Indian threadfin feeds on small fish, prawns and worms over muddy and sandy bottoms. It runs hard when hooked and is best fished with live or cut bait, soft plastics and small jigs near river mouths. Look for it on a rising tide when it pushes into shallow flats to feed.
