About Ide

A powerful cyprinid that runs into flowing water in spring and feeds readily at the surface. The spring run into rivers and stream mouths is the one window when a really big one is findable. It takes bread, worms, small spinners and dry flies, which makes it a rare fish that suits both fly and spinning gear. Hooked, it uses its weight in the current and fights far above its size.
