About Hampala Barb
A hard-fighting predatory barb of Southeast Asian rivers and reservoirs, often called the jungle perch by visiting anglers, that ambushes baitfish around rocks and current edges. It readily hits small spinners, minnow plugs and spoons cast into moving water and retrieved at pace. The bite is sharp and the runs strong for its size, making it a favourite light-tackle target.
